Japan Lover Me: Behind the Computer Screen (Chichi’s Version) :3
First of all, let me get straight to the point by greeting Japan Lover Me (and our team as well) a very happy first monthsary!! ♡＾▽＾♡
Wow, a month (and 68k likes on facebook and counting! wo to the ah).. when at first we weren’t even sure if we could make it on the launch day! ≧▽≦ Yes, we were quite the hopeful and optimistic bunch, but we weren’t entirely safe from setbacks and hardships along the way. Take it from me, launching 3 websites (all at the same time) is not at all easy, especially when your teammates are 999999gazillion miles from you!
I’d be happy to let you in on the behind-the-scenes of our lives as the Japan Lover Dream Tweam! (coined from: TWIN (kaila+chichi) + TEAM (+mishie) = TWEAM :)))) what the)
Chichi the Head of Creatives: AAAH artblock- nooo- stahp- *gets disconnected* NOO Internets pls come baaack!!
Kaila the Head Troublemaker: *type type html type* wtf again is the code for this?? photoshoot tomorrow hi gallbladder i luv you
Mishie the Head of Copy: oohh I can’t wait to sit down so I can type with both hands..
Don’t be fooled by this comic, we actually LOVE what we are doing, haha :)) But that doesn’t mean that everything’s a walk in the park! The three of us have actually been abusing the word “sabaw”, which in Tagalog translates to “soup”. Brain Soup. YES. Sometimes we feel that our brains have literally turned into soup because of the mental stress that this endeavor requires. (。┰ω┰。) Quite suitable to our titles as “Heads”, OTL

This is where it all started for me, when Kaila/Rainbowholic, my online twin, asked me to illustrate four kokeshis. :) At first she only asked for two, but then she said she wanted to add two more. Hmm..I didn’t know back then what she was planning to do with these, but knowing her, I knew that she was up to something amazing. :) ♥
In the first weeks of 2013, Kaila sent me new instructions for some new graphics. This was also the time she introduced her brainchild to me, which was Japan Lover Me and its three sub-categories: Kawaii, Cool, and Otaku. :)
Twinnie Kaila amazed me with her wooonderful ideas for the website(s). She was such a powerhouse with all these plans to reach out to the world and collaborate with awesome people I have only dreamed of meeting, or at least recognizing my art! *-*
After some time, she also “introduced” me to a new part of the team, Mishie! ♥ Which is so cool because we did an art trade just recently (December 2012)! She’s set to do the copywriting of everything written on the website. She’s a word genius, I tell you. *u*
And then there’s the three of us! Dream Tweam! :D
And so our workaholic craze began..
^ This is just like 3% of all of the files in my hard drive for Japan Lover Me. It mostly consists of AI and SAI files and their pngs, photos to be doodled on, doodled texts, and much more. I’m not exaggerating. :))
^ The current number of uncategorized files under my Japan Lover Me folder. WOW :0 This shows how ridiculously meticulous we are in customizing every detail of every page!

My “workspace” (featuring my old laptop). It does not always look like this — it’s actually way messier! Haha. I tidied it up just for the purpose of taking these pictures. :P After 5 minutes, it went back to being messy. lol
I bought a customizable transparent bag from the Surplus Shop for only 100php ($2.5). :)) I printed out some Japan Lover Me postcards, and voila, instant Japan Lover Bag! :D
… I was on a dilemma if I should post this, lol. I sent this to Kaila when she asked me about an idea about the layout of the Kawaii page. That’s my not-so-kawaii handwriting when I’m rushing things. :)) Some of you might not understand everything that’s written there.. GOOD. >:3

I would also like to take this opportunity to express my admiration for Kaila and Mishie, who have grown so close to my heart now. :3 They are one of the most creative, bright, and hardworking people I know. I feel so lucky to be friends with them, and one of the happiest things about Japan Lover Me is that I get to work with them. (>///<) I have met Kaila just once (this is about to change hoho), and I haven’t met Mishie personally at all, but through thick and thin, up and down, sleep or no sleep, I will always be here for you guys huhu ♥ ♥
It’s hard work but it’s a happy work! :3 Here’s to more monthsaries and *anniversaries*!! And Milestones!!! ♥
